Story inspiration

A story can open a door

Why a children’s story can be an invitation to ask questions, notice the world, and imagine what comes next.

A good story does more than carry us from one page to the next. It opens a door into a question, a feeling, or a place we may not have noticed before.

For a young reader, that door can lead anywhere: into a conversation about kindness, a closer look at the natural world, or the confidence to invent an ending of their own.

This is one reason I love the space around a story as much as the story itself. The pause after a page, the question from a child, and the unexpected connection are all part of the reading experience.

Whenever a book leaves a little more curiosity behind than it found, it has done something special.

A note is always welcome

Every conversation starts
with a little hello.
